Het ontluiken van een fresco

is een didactische documentaire die de fresco taferelen van de orthodoxe doopkerk H. Andreas in kaart brengt. De schilder Joris verklaart het gekozen kleurenpalet en licht het decoratieschema toe. Langzaamaan verschijnen de beelden van het Doop- mysterie op de witte kalkmuren. De betekenis van de beeldencyclus rondom het centrale tafereel van de Doop in de Jordaan wordt uitgelicht.

Painting the Invisible

is a didactic documentary that maps the fresco scenes of the Orthodox Baptistery of St. Andrew. The painter Joris describes the chosen color palette and the decoration scheme. The images of the Baptism mystery gradually appear on the white limestone walls. The meaning of the cycle of images surrounding the central scene of the Baptism in the Jordaan is highlighted.
